SFU Recovered N12.8m From Fraudsters

The Special Fraud Unit (SFD) set up by the office of IGP has said that it has recovered a whooping sum of N129.746, 406.25 million from fraudsters across the country within three months.
 The commissioner of police in charge of the Unit, Mr. Mike Ehidiamen made this known in his office at a press briefing, stating that the recovery was made between August and October this year.
According to him, “the monies were recovered from fraudsters in the course of our investigations. This is made up of N108,880,000 cash 20 million in post dated cheaques and N1,866,406.25 in bank drafts, and these have been released to the owners of the money he stated.Ehidiamen while sending a warming signal to banks stated that the issue of fraud in bands was becoming very worrisome so also in the insurance sector.
