Bankole, Tinubu,  Bag SSANU Merit Award

The Speaker, House of Representative, Mr. Dimeji Bankole, the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and three others have been decorated with Merit Awards of Excellence by the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) of the University of Agriculture Abeokuta (UNAAB), for their contribution to the development of education and trade union activities in the country.
 The Chairman of the association, Comrade Emmanuel Bankole, while speaking during the award ceremony held recently on the university campus, charged the awardees not to relax in their services to humanity.
 He stated that the award is meant to spur them into greater service and challenge others that no good deed shall go unrewarded.
 The association also awarded scholarship to one, Miss Aminat Akintonwa, daughter of its deceased member, Mrs Akintonwa who died three years ago .
 This, he stated demonstrated SSANU's commitment to welfare of members both living and dead.
Asiwaju Bola  Ahmed Tinubu, who was represented at the ceremony by one of his personal aides, Dr.Muyiwa Gbadegesin, announced the highest donation of N1m  to the building of  SSANU's Ultra Modern Secretariat Complex while the university management gave a donation of  N250,000  towards the completion of the building.
