He was facing legal action from one of its suppliers for thousands of pounds and owed about £800,000 in tax.
Last Tuesday, Foster was to be served with papers to repossess his £1.2m mansion. However on Monday night, Foster decided to end it all.
A source told British media 'He had been drinking at an all-day clay shoot, then he continued when he got back home. Empty spirit bottles were found littered in the ruins of the mansion and tests on the body showed he was 'way over' the drink-drive limit.
'He wanted to kill everything in sight and destroy everything he owned. His wife and daughter were simply executed.'
He executed his teenage daughter as she chatted to friends over the internet on her computer. His daughter, Kirstie, 15, was online talking to friends on the social networking site Bebo when Foster is believed to have crept up on her and shot her in the back of the head with his rifle. Her body was found slumped facing the computer. After killing Kirstie, Foster then reportedly went down the stairs to the master bedroom where he executed his sleeping wife.
In order to destroy the house Foster reportedly ran a pipe from an oil tank into the mansion to pour fuel into the grounds. He then reportedly lit fires in the house's annexe before shooting their horses.
CCTV footage apparently shows him leaving the stables before returning to the house still carrying his rifle. .He then runs to the main house where his wife Jill, 49, and daughter Kirstie, 15, were already dead, a British paper reported.
Foster, 50, then killed the four dogs before shooting himself, leaving the mansion to burn to the ground.
He is thought to have returned to his wife's body and then shot himself as the house became engulfed in flames
'In the end his state of mind must have been, "If I can't have all this nobody will."
He adored his wife and daughter so he must have been in a terrible mental state to have done what he did.'
Most of the rest of the footage was destroyed in the fire.
