Gov. Ohakim Gives Kudos To Safari Club

In recognition of the brilliant performance of members of Safari Recreation Club Owerri in sports promotion and development in Imo State, Governor Ikedi Ohakim has called on other clubs in the State to emulate the Safarians so that excellence, which is in line with the New Face of Imo Agenda, would continue to be promoted.
Governor Ohakim who spoke through his Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Professor Nnamdi Obiaraeri at the reception organised by Safari Recreation Club for her members either elected or appointed into high public office at State or Federal level commended them for recognizing men of honour.
The number one citizen of the State thanked them for their testimony that the New Face of Imo State encapsulated into Clean and Green Initiative programme has yielded results in all sectors of the State including sports development, stating that his administration which is a listening one is ordained by God. Earlier in his address, the President of Safari (AICESS) Recreation club, Barr. (Chief) Osita Nwosu congratulated the members, saying that their successes came from dint of hardwork, ambition and dedication and implored them to remain steadfast as nothing but the best would always be required from them in their various offices.
